4-Week Pottery Course:
“Discover Wheel Throwing”
Our 4-week course is an introduction to wheel throwing, perfect for beginners or for those wanting to refresh their skills. Over four weeks, you'll learn the essential techniques of wheel throwing, including centring clay, trimming and glazing your work. With a maximum of six participants, you'll benefit from plenty of individual tuition in a relaxed and welcoming studio. All tuition, clays, tools, glazing and firing, plus light refreshments, are included.
The course runs once a week over four consecutive weeks, with each session 3 hours long. Once you complete the course, you will have the option to join our studio as a member!
Suitable for ages 16+ .Shorter nails are recommended for wheel throwing.

Course Journey
Over 4 weeks, you'll learn the essential techniques of wheel throwing, building confidence week by week as you create your very first handmade ceramics in a relaxed and supportive studio environment.
Week 1: Learn to throw and create a cylinder
Week 2: Refining throwing techniques and introduce shaping
Week 3: Learn to turn and trim your pieces, adding refinement and attaching handles.
Week 4: Finish your pieces with glazing techniques
Each session is 3 hours long and includes a 20 minute clean up which is an important aspect of pottery, ensuring students learn about safe and healthy working practices.
Your pieces will be ready to collect within 4 weeks.
