Our studio memberships are perfect for independent making - a calm, shared space to throw, build, share ideas, or simply spend time with clay.
Studio Memberships
We offer 3 main membership options: Casual, Regular and Committed. If you’re not quite ready for a membership, studio passes are also available to purchase. Each open access studio session is 3 hours long, either morning 10-1PM, afternoon 2-5PM or evening 6-9PM on various weekdays and Saturdays. The studio will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Whether you visit occasionally or become a regular face in the studio, there is an option to suit you.

Up to 2 sessions per month (~6 hours/month)

Up to 4 sessions per month (~12 hours/month)

Committed Maker
£120/month

Some experience is recommended for our studio memberships. If you’re completely new to pottery, we’ll usually suggest starting with a course first so you can feel confident using the studio independently.

Memberships include access to the studio, house clay, tools, and tea or coffee on tap! We provide a range of house glazes suitable for our firing schedules. We also have a range of materials and glazes that can be purchased directly from the studio.

All members start with a short enquiry form on our website. We’ll review your experience and availability, then recommend the most suitable membership and send you a link to sign up.

Yes! You are welcome to switch membership plan at any time. Please speak to one of our team if you would like to do this. Please note that we have a one-month cancellation notice for all membership types.

In order to manage capacity and keep the studio a calm space, we ask that members come during their allotted time. If you can’t make it one week, please let us know so we can find an alternative time for you to come in.

We have 8 brand new Shimpo Whisper T wheels for members to us and two large work benches for handbuilding, sculpting and glazing. We current have a Northern Kilns TL128 electric kiln and will be increasing our capacity in the first few months of opening.

Firing is charged separately based on weight. This helps keep membership costs fair and accessible. Our kilns are operated by the studio staff for all pottery firing. We fire bisqueware to Cone 06 (1000°C) and glazed pieces Cone 6 (1220°C), unless otherwise agreed.

A studio technician will be on site during open studio sessions if you have any questions. However, these sessions are untutored, so members should feel confident working independently.

Yes! We are always keen to build our community and create a welcoming space. If you have any fun member ideas please let us know!

We completely understand if you have to miss a session one week. If this is the case, please let us know and we can find a convenient time for you to join a different open access session.

For safety and space reasons, studio access is for members only. Friends and family are welcome to join workshops or classes.

If you decide you want to cancel your membership at any time, please get in touch with the studio and we can help you with this. Please note that we have a one-month cancellation notice period on all memberships.
